  • Deprecated function: The each() function is deprecated. This message will be suppressed on further calls in menu_set_active_trail() (line 2405 of /var/www/highfieldscomposting.org/includes/menu.inc).
  • Deprecated function: implode(): Passing glue string after array is deprecated. Swap the parameters in drupal_get_feeds() (line 394 of /var/www/highfieldscomposting.org/includes/common.inc).

Monitoring provides you with a feedback loop for maintaining optimal composting conditions and producing a quality product. There are four primary monitoring practices that you should employ to one degree or another. These are: pile temperature, pile moisture content, pile odor, and a visual inspection of the site and piles. You'll want to first read “Monitoring Compost Piles”. Then, print out the Composting Monitoring Log below, and use it to properly monitor your pile.
